Agricultural jungle
Identity design for a farm-to-table Hungarian restaurant
Situated in the city centre of Budapest, Traktor restaurant offers fusion food from the best possible Hungarian ingredients. The restaurant recently went through a mayor redesign by Viktor Csap (Studio Arkitekter) so the new graphic identity was conceived along with the changes in the interior. We chose a classy logotype and elegant, fairy-tale colour shades over the whole identity. Traktor is the Hungarian word for tractor, a vehicle used for agricultural tasks. It refers to concept of the well-known Hungarian chef, Attila Bicsár: the restaurant offers farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from Hungarian soil. The crispy vegetables play a leading part in the menu therefore the graphic identity’s main elements are commonly cultivated Hungarian plants. As an agricultural jungle we used the vegetables for a graphic pattern which appears on many surfaces of the interior even on the centrally displayed old-timer Ferrari tractor which is an iconic feature of the restaurant.
