Hungarian Artisan Bread Association (Magyar Kézműves Kenyér Társaság) is a community of Hungarian bakers who aim to keep up the high standards for artisan bread baking. The three principles of the association are quality ingredients, sourdough and the fermentation process. Hungarian artisan bakeries are on the rise so quality control and assurance are a must to preserve the artisan brand. It operates as a learning and research center, managing human resources and acts as an advocacy group for small Hungarian manufactories.
Our commission was to design a logo which could be used as a trademark for quality bread. The schematic illustration of the bread integrates the main ingredients, the wheat grains.
