Illustrations, packaging for a special Christmas campaign (in a special year)

The new campaign from Chez Dodo Macaron Manufacture focuses on much-loved Hungarian Christmas and wintertime traditions, small acts of kindness and togetherness that have become so precious and appreciated over the past year, as well as fun (and safe) winter activities.
The campaign features two different scenes, in Christmas green and red. The green version shows a city scene where we can peek into the windows of homes where people are enjoying their holidays. We see neighbours finding safe and adorable ways to check in on each other, a family decorating their Christmas tree, and other sweet scenes of winter joy. The red version shows scenes from the countryside, such as a couple walking their dog, and a sweet old lady with a traditional Beigli (a rolled pastry that is filled with a variety of ingredients such as walnuts, poppyseed, or fruit jams).
We were inspired by all the stories we’ve heard and scenes we’ve witnessed since the beginning of the pandemic in Hungary, as well as how much more we appreciate our family, friends, and our community. The illustration style is a bit nostalgic and reminds us of storybooks, which fits really well with both the Chez Dodo brand, and the general emotions around this time of year.
